So it seems that, unbeknownst to me, I had set up the blog, at some point in the recent past, in such a way that if you wanted to post a comment you would have had to work out how to register as a user, something you’d only think about doing after you found your comment had disappeared into the ether.
Sorry.
In theory this is now fixed. Comment may now begin. Nay, must begin (in earnest).

Joy. I have a backlog of comments I tried to make about previous posts, but I think they are long past their use-by date.
I’m thinking of having an open post in the next week or so in the hope that all those unanswered questions you have can be posed and I can pretend to answer them in a witty and intelligent way.
